Weekly Blog - 6-16-21: Adobe Capture
This was my first time using Adobe Capture to edit images and I found it to be pretty self-explanatory and easy to use and navigate through the different features.
I really liked the look of the black and white shape feature, it helps to isolate the subject or shape in a really clear way and you can even go in and erase background elements if needed to make it stand out even more. It reminds me of the photoshop posterize filter when using the color option.
Both the colors and looks features were really fun to play around with, it's definitely something I can see myself utilizing more in the future for my photography work. I love the idea of isolating colors and creating palettes and "looks" from other images to apply to other photos. I particularly love the colors the look that came out of my image because they remind me of the color grading done in a lot of my favorite director's movies, that being David Fincher (so a lot of green shadows and orange/yellow mid-tones).
I really loved the pattern tool, I ended up using multiple images to play around with it and found it really interesting. Especially using it in real-time, with the camera on and seeing the patterns adjust to what was happening in front of the camera. Here are a few I came up with:
One thing I struggled with was using the adjustment sliders from the shape tab. Having worked a lot with photoshop and lightroom, and even other photo editing phone apps, I found this feature to be really limiting and disappointing. It could use some more scalability.
